"
Travel Weekly report that John O'Donoghue, The Irish Dept of Tourism minister for arts, sport and tourism, describes 2004 as "a mixed year." While the government noted a strong recovery from the key North American market, traffic from Great Britain and mainland Europe was flat. Still, overseas visitor numbers grew some 3%, to more than 6.35 million."
