CNN :: LOS ANGELES (Reuters)
"IAC/InterActiveCorp Chief Executive Barry Diller reaffirmed his support for money-losing corporate Web travel and local Internet search businesses Monday, saying both would soon crack profits and grow big...
"Local is the hardest thing to organize, and God knows we know it. We've been doing it for a long time."
He predicted Citysearch would break even at the end of the first or second quarters of this year. When one conference attendee asked if IAC should get rid of Citysearch, he adamantly opposed the idea. Diller said a critical mass of people was just beginning to use the Web to find local services and information."
