NetHotels distributes around 35,000 hotels online through its own and affiliate websites. It developed and sells the NetHotels ReServer Software Technology. If the deal is approved the company will continue to operate independently under its own name.
The two companies plan to pool resources and knowledge to create an online solution for hotels and tourism organisations.
Tiscover executive director of sales, marketing and finance, Karsten Kärcher said: "To strengthen our position at the head of the tourism solutions marketplace it made commercial sense to take a stake in NetHotels.com."
